Paul D. Anderson
From the age of fourteen, Paul has pushed himself to create videos that challenge his level of knowledge and experience. The bar is never set too high, and he constantly challenges those around him to reach higher with him. Starting with videos for his father’s church and wedding videos for his mother’s business, he began to see his love for filmmaking and decided to attend a film school to follow a calling he felt on his life.
After earning his Bachelors of Science in Film and Video Production, he quickly connected with a video production agency, Relentless, Inc, where he worked for the next seven years on a creative team, creating promotional, commercial and documentary projects as a Cinematographer, Lead Editor, and/or Colorist.
In 2015, some very specific thoughts led him to go freelance; he wanted to create content that showed people the good in the world, content with a narrative bend, and to push the boundaries of what his skill-set had become.
These values led Paul and his wife to Gateway Church, in Southlake, Texas. With a large talented creative team, a dedicated studio space, and high-quality gear, Gateway enabled Paul to pursue yet again a higher bar creating commercials, music videos and mini-docs as a Producer, Cinematographer and Colorist.
After three years, Paul felt the narrative world calling him, and he and his wife set out to become filmmakers in Colorado. While living in Colorado, he has had the opportunity to outfit two studios, work as a Cinematographer and Colorist on two short films and has completed production on his first feature film.
The skills he has been able to build up to this point are mainly focused in the areas of cinematography and color grading, and his greatest passion lies in creating visual imagery that tells the story, doesn’t distract the audience, helps people see good in the world and sets the bar a little higher every time.
